Fixed Term Position for 12 months
Temporary Teaching Fellowship (Research Leave) in Hispanic Studies at the University of Warwick
12 months fixed-term: 1 January 2019 ? 30 December 2019.
The School of Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Warwick invites applications for the post of Teaching Fellow in Hispanic Studies, from 1st January 2019.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative colleague to join our friendly department for the calendar year 2019. You will be responsible for sole teaching up to three 15-credit undergraduate modules, as well as contributing to Level 1 team teaching, and to the Spanish language and translation programme. We welcome applications from candidates in any area of Hispanic Studies, but especially from those able to contribute teaching on migration and transnational cultures. You will be part of the department’s team of personal tutors and will contribute to departmental administration as appropriate. You will be involved in many aspects of departmental and School life, including participating in staff meetings, and contributing to schools’ visits and open days.
This is an opportunity to gain a range of teaching and administrative experience within a supportive department, with undergraduates from a variety of backgrounds. You will have previous experience of teaching at higher education level and native or near-native fluency in both English and Spanish. You will be familiar with the UK undergraduate experience and prepared to support our lively and engaged body of undergraduate students both academically and as a personal tutor. While the post is teaching-focused, we will strongly encourage and support the successful candidate’s active pursuit of individual scholarly research and contribution to the lively research culture of the School.
Informal enquiries may be made by email to Kirsty Hooper (firstname.lastname@example.org).
